This project/hourly rate discussion has been fascinating and informative; it
clearly gets to the heart of what freelancing is all aboutempowerment,
controlling one's destiny, and working in one's underwear. |
In no particular order, these are separate pages or sections
devoted to specific topics or problems that have come up at one
time or another. I'm always willing to put up new sections, so
if you want to share detailed information on some aspect of
work, please send it along.
- Agency Contracts for Freelancers: Q & A
- A question/answer on points to keep in mind when reviewing a contract

- Small Claims Court for Editorial Freelancers FAQ

for nonpayment, written by a few people who've been there. [New! 03/09/00.

Read My Clips (offsite link)
- The question has come up several times, so here's the
Detroit Free Press Jobs Page: "Winning Clips Win Interviews."
It's advice for writers, editors, photographers, and designers
on compiling clips for newspaper openings, but it would also
apply to freelancers on the prowl, of course. "New Media"
here denotes the Internet. The
résumé section is interesting, too.
