Regimental return May/48 not on file. Mustered out with company July 21, 1848 at Louisville, Ky.

Co. and regimental books not on file. Also borne as Hiram Y. McLamoore, Hiram Y. McLemieu, McLemiou, McLamiou, & McLymore not = borne.

Says that he was counsel for plaintiff in the above styled case in Perry County, state of Kentucky and at the May term of the Perry Circuit Court, 1867. A Judgement was rendered dissolving the bonds of matrimony between the above named parties giving each of them the lawful right to marry there after.

McLemore life time. And we further state we saw her married to her first and last husban. That we know her to be the widow of Hiram Y. McLemore.

Declaration of a widow for original pension when no child under sixteen years of age survives.

STATE OF KENTUCKY, COURT OF PERRY;

On this 8th day of Aug. A.D. 1887, personally appeared before me a county court clerk the same being a court of record within and for the county and state aforesaid, Sally McLemore aged 64 years, who, being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension provided by acts of Congress granting pensions to widows: That she is the widow of Hiram Y. McLemore who enlisted under the name of Hiram Y. McLemore at Boonville, Ky., on the __ day of __ A.D. 18__ in Co. "I" 3rd Regt Kentucky Vols in the War of 1848 who died 22 April, 1887; --- that she was married under the name of Sally (Campbell - crossed out) Baker to said Hiram Y. McLemore on the 19th day of May, A.D. 1867, by Rev. W.R. Hoskins at or in Perry County, Ky. there being no legal barrier to such marriage; That neither she nor her husband had been previously married - (I had been previously married but my husband was dead). That she has to the present date remained his widow; That he, the said Hiram Y. McLemore left surviving no minor child or children by either herself or any former wife; That she has not in any manner been engaged in, or aided or abeited, the rebellion in the United States; That prior has been filed --------. That she hereby appoints _____ her attorney to prosecute her claim. That her residence is in (Leslie Co. crossed out) Perry Co. Ky. and that her post office address is Hazard, Ky.

Also personally appeared Samuel Standifer, residing in Perry County, Ky. in Hazard, and Elhanon Combs residing in Perry County, Ky. in Hazard, persons whom I certify to be respectable and entitled to credit and who being by me duly sworn, say that they were present and saw Sally McLemore, the claimant, sign her name (make her mark) to the foregoing declaration; that they have every reason to believe, from the appearance of said claimant and their acquaintances with her, that she is the identical person she represents herself to be; and that they have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
