- When logging in, you must use your full e-mail address (i.e.
username@comteck.com ) for the Username of the login. The password remains the same
you normally use. You can continue to use your email address for you username when
logging in locally if you want.
- When using E-Mail dialing into a National number, we use SMTP-AUTHENTICATION to
allow you to relay e-mail through our mail server. To enable this feature there are a few
things you need to change. Again, once you change this, you don't have to change it
back dialing in locally.
- Start Outlook Express, go to Tools, then click on the Mail tab.
Highlight your Comteck e-mail account and click on Properties. Select the
Server tab. On the bottom of the Server settings you will see an option My server requires
authentication. Check this box. Next, in the box labeled Outgoing mail
(SMTP):, remove the current entry and put in roam.comteck.com . Click on
Apply, click on OK, click on Close. Now your Outlook
Express should be ready. Most e-mail programs, like Eudora and IncrediMail have the
same settings. Just go to the preferences and you should see similiar options. If
you don't do this, and you try to send e-mail using your previous settings, you
will get a Relaying Denied error.
And now the Nationwide numbers
Note: We have been asked for the local numbers to some little town in
the middle of nowhere. Although we would like to help you out, we do not know what is
local to every town and telephone exchange. SBC has a Local Calling page that may
provide you with the information for that area but we can not guarentee the accuracy
of their information.
