Email Configurations



CONFIGURATING INTERNET MAIL verison 3.x

Click on Go
Scroll down on menu to Read Mail
When new windo opens click on Mail
Scroll down on menu to Options
Across the top of the new window click on the Server Tab
Name - whatever you wish it to show on email (not case sensitive)
        Organization - whatever you wish
        Email address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
Outgoing mail server - smtp.comteck.com (all lower case)
Incoming mail server - mail.comteck.com (all lower case)
        Pop3 Account - userid (all lower case)
        Password - password you selected (all lower case)
Click on OK



CONFIGURATING NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR version 3.x

Click on Options
Click on Mail and News Preferences
Click on the Servers Tab
        Outgoing mail server - smtp.comteck.com (all lower case)
        Incoming mail server - mail.comteck.com (all lower case)
        Pop3 username - userid (all lower case)
        NNTP server - news.comteck.com (all lower case)
Click on the Identity Tab
Your name - whatever you wish to show on email (not case sensitive)
        Your email address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
        Your reply to address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
Click on OK at the bottom to save the information.


CONFIGURATION NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR

Click on Edit
Scroll to Preferences change the + to a -    
        Click on Identity
                Name - what ever you wish to show on email (not case sensitive)
                Email Address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
                Reply to Address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
        Under Category, Click Server
                Mail Server User Name - username (all lower case)
                Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.comteck.com (all lower case)
                Incoming Mail Server - mail.comteck.com (all lower case)
                Ensure that you have a dot in the POP3 choice
Click OK to save the information.


CONFIGURATING MICROSOFT OUTLOOK EXPRESS


Double Click on Outlook Express Icon
Click on Tools
Click on Accounts
If you have a Mail Account Shown
Double Click on the Account
Mail Account - Name for the account (whatever you wish)
Name - whatever you wish to show on email
Email Address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
Reply to Address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
Ensure the box is checked to include this account when doing Full Send and Receive
Click on the Servers Tab   
Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.comteck.com (all lower case)
Incoming Mail Server - mail.comteck.com (all lower case)
Incoming Mail Server is a POP3 Server
Under Incoming Mail Server Select Log On Using
Account Name - username (all lower case)
Password - password you selected (all lower case)
Click on Connection Tab
Select connect using my phone line
Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection - click on Comteck
Click Apply  
Click OK
You are finished.

If you DO NOT have a Mail account showing
Click  ADD and then Mail
Display Name is your name (not case sensitve)
Press Next
Email Address - userid@comteck.com (all lower case)
Incoming Mail Server is a POP3 Server
Incoming Mail Server - mail.comteck.com (all lower case)
Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.comteck.com (all lower case)
Press Next
Internet Mail Account Name
Leave as is or name it whatever you wish (not case sensitive)
Press Next
Select Connect Using My Phone Line
Press Next
Choose your modem
Press Next
Select using an Exisiting Dial-Up Connection
Click on Comteck
Press Next
Press Finish
